OUR CONSULTING EXPERTISE
The focus of the Institute’s work is the data-driven prevention of childhood trauma and maltreatment, with the 100% Community Initiative as our centerpiece program. We can also provide to organizations technical assistance in the following areas.
Our specialty is customizing data leadership and continuous quality improvement (CQI) training programs for managers with the goal of strengthening an agency’s capacity to set and reach goals.
We provide the expertise to map agency workflow and community capacity in order to identify challenges as well as strengths. We can strengthen your capacity to analyze needs and set priorities.
Our planning process starts with identifying a project’s hypothesis, goals, purpose, partnerships, activities and measurable outcomes. We can also direct you to research and evidence-based strategies shown to solve specific challenges.
Our work is focused on community-empowered, data-informed, cross-sector and systemic action, moving us from ideas to implementation. We collaborate with clients to ensure that research guides a project step-by-step and that change is facilitated thoughtfully.
We start with questions: How will a project produce measurable and meaningful change? To whom? And for how long? Our evaluation process brings valuable insights to inform current and future work.
We advise on the use of technology to create more effective tracking, education, communication and evaluation systems. We specialize in the design of learning management systems (LMS) that can house training, data, research and become a virtual education center for staff and communities.
We have a story of determination, compassion, community building, and creativity that the Anna, Age Eight Institute is eager to share.
There is a powerful story about an organization created to use a community-empowered, data-driven and cross-sector strategy, systematically in all the counties of a state, to end the epidemic of childhood trauma. We coin this story, “from a book to a senate bill to an institute.” Our Institute’s co-founders Katherine Ortega Courtney, PhD and Dominic Cappello can share the work it took to write Anna, Age Eight, design the Anna, Age Eight Institute, create partnerships with state lawmakers to gain support for a groundbreaking venture, and mobilize counties around the 100% Community initiative.
WE’RE HERE TO EMPOWER YOU AND YOUR COMMUNITY
Community forums can highlight the art of collaboration and turning data into action in order to confront the root causes of adverse childhood experiences. It’s a story of determination, compassion, community building, and creativity that the Anna, Age Eight Institute is eager to share. Our priority is serving each county in the state, customizing a process that aligns with current local work that strengthens the lives of children and families.
